Rice Krispy Treats With a Twist

Here is something I made my Hubby for Valentines day. . .
I made it for V day but it could easily be used for any occasion. Just use any shape cookie cutter and any color of chocolate. I plan to make these again for sure!

I was going for a bouquet type look, Not sure if I pulled it off quite. But he liked it and that's what matters.

I found the idea from the website No Fuss Fabulous but I did it my own way.
I formed the Rice Krispies into my cookie cutters and not into a pan first. Then I put them on the sticks and stuck them in the fridge. I found I had to cover the bottoms with chocolate (I spooned the chocolate on) and it helped the rice krispies stay on the stick once it hardened.
I decorated them, wrapped them up, and stuck them in a vase full of candy! He loved them and ate them all!
(He even shared some with me, Yay!)

Painted Canvas

This was a first for me. . . Painting canvases. They do it all the time on HGTV and they make it look easy. Lets just say I spent more time trying to figure out what to paint than actually painting.
I started out with just some blank canvases, and a simple design. . . squares. Maybe in the future my talent for canvas painting will grow, but for now squares fits me perfectly.
I think it turned out ok for now. They can hang in the guest bedroom for a while. The good thing about canvases is that I can easily paint over them, or cover them at any time.

At least it was fun and I tried something new!

Easiest Project Ever

I love to work with vinyl letters. I don't have one of those fancy vinyl cutting machines yet, so I don't do it very often.
But when I do I love it!!!!

Behold. . . A board, some paint, some vinyl lettering, and presto!
The easiest project ever.

I Love to Blog. . .

I love to blog.
I love to be crafty.
Put the two together. . .
My crafty blog here is what you get!

Come on in and have a look around if you wanna.

I'm looking forward to having a place to organize my projects, finished projects and all the many projects that are on my "want to do" list.

My man is looking forward to not hearing me say "Look what I made, isn't it so cute?!" I can now say that to my blog, and maybe someone will read it from time to time.

Time to pull out my supplies and get creative!!
